QA Engineer (Manual)
Description
We are seeking to hire experienced QA Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in US-based One Planet Group's branch in Armenia. The working hours for this role are 11 AM to 8 PM.
The Quality Assurance Engineer performs testing and debugging to ensure the quality of the product. The Quality Assurance Engineer plays an important role in the development of the Company’s products. The employee is responsible for testing the project ongoing and before the final launch of the product. He/she must ensure the smooth operation of the program, testing and debugging.
Job responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Manual QA
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian, English and Russian
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Ability to do manual testing across multiple devices (iPhone, iPad, laptop, desktop), operating system (Windows, OSC) and browsers with dev tools (Chrome, Safari, Edge, IE)
- Knowledge of scripting and writing macros
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development processes
- Experience of using web browser developer tools
- Ability to work effectively in fast moving environment
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Experience working with international teams
- Ability to meet short-term deadlines
