Content Writer

Description of the Position

At One Planet Group, our core foundational values promote diversity, inclusion, and service to humanity. The Content Writer will play a key role in the production of high-quality content for the online blog of Autoweb.com. The Content Writer will be responsible for researching and writing all articles assigned to them, making sure that all content adheres to the brand’s editorial guidelines and values. Depending on the writer's skills, the expected start output will be 5 articles per week, and to grow from there. All writers will be expected to submit articles in a timely fashion, with care that they are in the best condition they can be before passing the articles on to the editors. Writers may also be asked by the editors to make improvements to their written content.

This is a full-time, in-person role at our Yerevan office. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

● write and select images for articles assigned by the content manager

● make sure that writing adheres to the editorial style guidelines of the respective brand you will be

writing for

● make sure articles are in the best shape possible (meeting SEO requirements, accuracy of content, quality of writing, image choices, content value, etc.)

● occasionally peer review articles or other editorial audits

● participate in 1:1 editorial meetings with the editor to hear and talk about feedback

● contributing new article ideas is always welcomed

● actively work to improve both quality and pace

● participate in skill improvement team meetings

Requirements

● native or close to native English language skills (speaking, reading, and writing)

● excellent writing skills, with the familiarity and awareness to write for different target audiences

● +3 years of corporate work experience in Writing/Editing, Publishing, or other related fields

● ability to ensure that the content adheres to expected standards of the brand content guidelines

● ability to write in and differentiate varying levels of formality

● target-driven, detail-oriented, can meet deadlines, and has great time management skills

● ability to deliver content that corresponds to the given assignment in scope and technical requirements

● can work both autonomously and collaboratively

● is organized and carries a great sense of ownership of their work
